MAIN SIGHTS
THE OLD TOWN SQUERE: Is Prague’s most popular square since the 10th Century. On the Southern wall of the Old Town Hall you can find astronomical clock - one of the outstanding sights of Prague.Sometimes concerts take place or live music is played to entertain visitors who can also admire the famous sculpture of Jan Hus.
WENCESLAS SQUARE: A centre of business and cultural activities in the New Town of Prague, Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares. Named after Saint Wenceslas, the square is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations and other events or gatherings.
CHARLES BRIDGE: Charles Bridge (Karluv Most) is a 14th century a famous stone bridge and it is the main pedestrian route connecting the Old Townn with the Lesser Town (Mala Strana) and Prague Castle. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style.
St.VITUS CATHEDRAL: St. Vitus is the spiritual symbol of the Czech state - a Gothic masterpiece is placed on the Prague castle .Work on the cathedral began in 1344 and it took nearly six centuries to complete. The Royal insignia are kept there.
DANCING HOUSE: A masterpiece of modern architecture, Dancing House was named after dancing duo Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.The building was constructed between 1992 and 1996 by Czech architect Vlado Milunic and world – renowned Canadian architect Frank Gehry.
NERUDOVA str. and St.NICHOLAS CHURCH: Nerudova street is a picturesque street leading up to Prague castle. All around is a mixture of restaurants, quaint old pubs and small shops in the wonderful old gothic, renesancce and baroque buildings.The magnificent St.Nicholas church is an excellent example of clear Baroque style.
